Amherst A Better Chance is a national residential high school program dedicated to preparing academically talented and highly motivated students from educationally underserved districts for college and future leadership roles in their communities.
The Challenge: After years of hosting their annual fun run, Amherst A Better Chance sought to brand the fundraiser and broaden its appeal to attract more of the local community while still engaging serious runners.
The Solution: Understanding the need for a comprehensive approach, we repositioned the run as a community-facing, fun, seasonal event with a purpose. By transforming it into a celebration or block party, we aimed to make it a seasonal ritual for the community to anticipate each year.
The Result: The design of a festive, fall-themed logo and supportive promotional materials created a multi-faceted marketing strategy, promoting the event as an enjoyable, family-friendly affair. Custom illustrations and icons resonated with families and runners alike, broadening the reach of the fundraiser run and repositioning it as a fun, festive, fall celebration for a worthy cause. The new branding and marketing collateral for The Fall Foliage and Fun Run delivered tangible results, increasing visibility, attendance, and brand awareness year after year.
